Fishing Report February 2014

Holy Cow Its nice down here this time of year. I would suggest any one north of Key Largo make plans to get out of the Polar Vortex and fish with us on the Charisma. A sure cure for cabin fever.  The Charisma has been very busy fishing just about every day and the days at the dock the Charisma gets her maintenance to keep her in prime fish fighting shape.  The Sails this year are making us work pretty hard for the bite, using a lot of different techniques were getting the job done. The water is warm very warm for this time of year and the Mahi and Tuna are around in nice numbers, most Mahi in the 8 – 15 lb range .  This year we are catching some larger Kings and Wahoo then we normally do .  40+ pound fish, making the reels scream, the angler smile, damn I like my job. The bottom has been producing some Nice Yellow Tails, Muttons, Groupers, and deep dropping has been great picking up some nice tile fish and various other deep water fish.  Starting mid March we will be doing our evening Shark & Tarpon trips, If you haven’t done one, you should. Its a great way to enjoy the water as the sun goes down, and  a 100 lb tarpon on light tackle on the Charisma at sunset , well thats what its all about.  Hope to see you soon.  Hey our rental boat and watersports business is doing great. Check us out, Fish with us, Rent with us, you will have a great getaway with us
